Naval helo pilot COPT-R training program

In an effort to right-size and streamline the Naval aviation pipeline, they have a new(ish) program for helicopter pilots. Instead of having them go through the traditional primary training in a fixed-wing prior to going to helo's, they can go through the COPT-R program, a contracted helicopter-specific primary flight program. By the time they get to the helo portion of the pipeline they will have 60 hours of time in helo's.
