New Army and Navy Chiefs Nominated

Kind of a "yawn" thing and not really worthy of much here, except for the Army's choice:

Gen. Milley, a former commander in both Afghanistan and Iraq, was the senior officer who recommended charges against Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, the Army soldier held captive by the Taliban for five years before he was released last year.

I know we speculated on possible political motives behind everything Bergdahl related, but why promote GEN Milley if he went against any political narratives or agendas? An F You to the administration or an attaboy for the charges?

He also has time in SF, but I don't know how much.

Both the new CJCoS and ACoS are a definite step up from what will soon be what once was.....and that's actually something to look forward to.

VCJCS is going to an AF Officer, this will be interesting to see what CSAF now has to say vis a vis sequestration, war budgets, etc.
