Joined active duty Air Force in 2013. Graduated basic September 2013. Had a Pararescue contract coming in but I SIE'ed, just wasn't ready for it and I quit on my self. I got reclassed to Aircraft Maintenance and I was a Crew Chief on C-130's and now I work on CV-22's. I am not happy in maintenance and I have been wanting to go back to selection after preparing myself more to the standards. I am joining the site in search of more information regarding Combat Control. I didn't know much about the career field before signing up but after reading books on the mission and history I am very interesting in trying to go for CCT when my window to retrain is up.

Welcome to SS. I wish you the best of luck as you strive for a new career field in the USAF. Age, and experience helps us see life from a different prespective, such as what you saw in 2013. There is plenty of information on this site. Spend some time looking into the threads on CCT, and take a look at the mentor sections too; there is plenty here. Those who do research on their own, tend to fair better that those who are looking to be spoon fed.
