Let me start by first thanking you all for what you've done for our country. Based on what I've seen on this website so far, I can already tell that you all have the carriage of heroes. I'll start my introduction by telling you all a little about myself. I come from the middle of nowhere, in the mountains of West Virginia. My dad served for over thirty years in the Air National Guard, in an active slot. I grew up around the military and always loved it. While in high school I found myself in an Army JROTC program, and I fit like a glove. Even though I had been around the Air Force my whole life, I always had a thing for the Army. When I turned 19 I finally decided it was time to join the military. I was never the strongest kid, nor was I the fastest, but I was always the smartest. Even though I wanted to join the Army, my family talked me into joining the Air Force instead. I am now a 25 year old E-5 in the Air Force, working as an aircraft electrical and environmental systems technician. I'm also bigger, stronger, and more determined than I used to be. With all the downsizing our military has been going through, I feel now is my only chance to try and succeed where I once let myself down. I've joined this website, in the hopes of gaining insight on what it is like in the Army, because I've decided to go back to my younger self's goal. I want to join the Army, and become an Army Ranger. I think I can do it, now I want to prove to myself that I can. If there is one important thing to know about me it's this. If it is an important subject, I will not tell anything but the truth. My dad raised me to have integrity to rival Honest Abe. But if it's not important, I'm the kind of person that ends up making up tall tales to pass the time...or maybe just to see how gullible you are.
