Pre Dive

Does anyone have experience with a particularly gnarly pre-dive and would be willingly to share some wisdom?

In other words, any workouts/tips to help prepare for pre-dive?

I used the search function but couldn't find anything

Pre dive is the worst. I did it three times before I finally went to dive school. Not a good time.
