Just seen this Article today.... MARSOC corpsman to receive Silver Star for thwarting insider attack
Just wanted to say well done to this Corpsman, as well as show those who may have not seen this yet. These guys are some of the best out there. I also re-read Kevin Baskin's Silver Star citation from a year or two ago (for those that have not seen the citation, just google his name). That was the story that initally introduced me to the SARC career field back in 2014-2015. Both stories show the selfless commitment of these men, and what they would do for their Marine brothers.

These events while heroic are not exclusive. There have been 20 Naval ships named for corpsmen, over 20 MoHs, and over 170 Navy Crosses. The HM rating has the most awards for valor of any enlisted rating. Those are big shoes to fill.

Really? You started a post in a USMC SOF thread this way, and you have an an avatar that boldly states "discipline"? Ironic, wouldn't you agree?
Attention to detail and professionalism are 2 HUGE keys in becoming a SARC or joining any SOF unit, think about how you presented yourself starting a post that way. Take this as a teaching moment to think about your verbal and written communication.

I have been reading a lot about Corpsman lately. I must say that I am inspired and impressed by what these guys do.
