School/Mass shootings are now part of our culture.

IDK how the Annunciation story gets crazier, but it does.

There were actually 2 mass shootings within 24 hours of one another, one occuring at Cristo Jesuit High School the day prior, about 4 miles north of Annunciation. Media completely silent on the fact that 2 Christian schools were attacked, both with fatalities, within 24 hours. It was two separate events. The shooter hasn't been apprehended.

Two mass shootings in 24 hours leave 3 dead, 23 injured in Minneapolis

It wasn't actually at the school but rather by the school, on the street. But yeah, that coincidence has not been lost on me.

This is super weird to me. Gun control activists should be going crazy over both events. That should be the whole line- "Multiple mass shootings 4 miles apart- kids dead- we should take everyone's guns. This has to stop!"

I'll explain it this way...

We have a county prosecutor that refuses to uphold the law. The number of violent offenders released without charges is staggering. They detain/arrest an offenders, and they're immediately kicked back out. I train jits with quite a few MPD cops. To say this has crippled morale is an understatement. With the sole exception of the US prosecutor in Minneapolis, no one has their back - politically or otherwise.

In addition, the city of Minneapolis continues to disregard a years old court order mandating PD staffing levels. MPD is still only staffed at ~2/3 it's court mandated levels. Apparently, there's no actual repercussions of not adhering to the court order, aside from lack of resources to deter and respond to crime in the city. This, of course, was the reason the lawsuit was filed in the first place.

Further to the point of lack of officers and their inability to respond, (I wasn't going to share this, but here we are) I live ~10 min from Annunciation and was working at home yesterday morning. While I didn't know the details of what was occurring at the time, I heard the response. Many of the first units to arrive were actually from surrounding communities. That's pretty pathetic.

The Minneapolis PD has been largely marginalized to the point they're unable to effectively respond. This has emboldened young gangs, particularly Somali, as they recognize many of their actions are virtually consequence free.

Not a mass shooting, but now Charlie Kirk has reportedly been shot. Leftists in this country have absolutely lost their minds. Seriously.

I don’t listen to Charlie Kirk, but I know who he is. Very doubtful his a household name to most. Will be interesting to see if this one gets any media attention.

The left has a serious radical problem on their hands. Do people really want to be on the side that condones and encourages this, even with indirect loose speech?
