Shin Pain

Here's a video that has all the pointers that we teach our students here.
An addition that I'd like to make is decrease the amount you "reach" with your leg. Meaning that if you extended your leg too far out in front of your body, you're inceasing the sustained impact to your skeletal system and slowing yourself down. To put it another way: What do you do when you start slowing down from a run? You increase your "reach" and reduce your forward lean.
Sorry to revive a long dead thread, but the video you linked no longer exists. Do you know if another copy exists on youtube? Or, if not, do you remember the name of the video? Thanks!

I disagree with your statement that you are "sorry" for dredging up a three plus year old video. If you were sorry, you would not be asking so much about the video. That the video is no longer available is the risk of older posts; what you see is what you get.

If you want some videos on shin splints, go to "You Tube", I'm pretty sure they will have something for you.

If this were not a topic that could be of further interest, I would lock this down to avoid a dog pile.
Ok, will do.
