I loved those things when I was a kid, those and Gung Ho magazine. Having been a product of the Vietnam war generation, I read everything I could about that war, the African bush wars, Selous Scouts, etc. Anyhoo, I found the SoF magazines downloaded in PDF format.

I devoured those mags every month; it was where I learned the difference between gorilla and guerrilla.

PS: do i remember correctly that they literally had “hit man” classified ads in the back?
