A Polish Special Forces Soldier from the 1st Special Regiment stationed in Lubliniec died in the hospital due to iinjuries sustained after a fatal parachute jump. The 30 year old Soldier attented a wedding ceremony where a free fall was part of the "celebration". It is not clear as to why his cannopy did not open. A committee stated that the jumpo fell well into established safety protocols.
The Soldier entered the Military in 1999, and was well known within his elite unit as an experienced jumper.
