Star Wars - ** SPOILERS ** discussion thread

Oh my dear sweet baby Sith Clause and all of the little Jedi Christmas Elves - I have a huge Star Wars boner right now.....................

The guys who pooped in the sleeping bag with GoT are running the next Star Wars movie. So much win. I figure they'll have Spock wishing everyone a Happy Nanoo Nanoo Day.

The last few star wars movies have made me a little unsure about spending movie theater level money on the NEXT few star wars movies...
..."fool me once" and all that jazz

The Last Jedi was really good for one VERY specific reason - it made me miss Jar-Jar-Binks

I didn't think any of the recent Star Wars movies were that bad; much better than Episodes 1 through 3. They really saturated the franchise the past several years to the point that I just waited for Solo to make it to cable. So, burn out may be an issue. I also think I just kind of "aged out" of the series, but I'll still see the next one.

Rogue One was good and I thought it was a new direction for the series.....but then disappointment. From seeing the trailers of "The Mandaloriana" ...I have hope again....but, you know....the new movie could crush me once again.

I'll wait for the reviews (the fan reviews, not the critics) to come in on that one. Then again I could easily see Disney doing that one right for the first two seasons to get people on their streaming service then going full Game of Thrones after that mission is complete.

They've produced far more garbage than good and can't be trusted at face value.

The Mandalorian - A Serialized Hope.

I was already sold at the spear-mounted Stormtrooper helmets. The series format could help or hinder that depending on how they handle character development and plot progression. I have more trust in a nerd-next-door like Jon Favreau to not entirely botch this one.

Not too worried about the new movie, probably because I stopped emotionally investing in the new trilogy after The Last Jedi. Rogue One at least succeeded in reeling in some of us who were already looking over the guardrail after The Force Awakens.
