C'mon bro, don't you think that's a bit obtuse? I know some of the members here aren't happy Trump is in the WH, but you're implying the American public is guilty of electing Trump and that the 'show' (aka: unabashed corruption) is punishment they deserve. Don't you think that's a bit messed up?

3-4 years ago, in the first 'Trump Election Thread', we talked about the 'crazy stuff' that supposedly happens in DC. Fast forward up till today and all that 'crazy stuff' turned out to be true! :-o Would you rather have had the lawlessness and corruption that permeates DC and the Federal Govt still be hidden and active? Dude, the lady that was 'supposed' to be the next CINC (and her husband) was/is hip deep in the monster known as the deep state.

I know you're not a Trump fan brother, but this is bigger than any of us. I mean dude... we are literally seeing a coup being executed. Are we supposed to sit back and let the DC elite go back to sexually abusing our children and ruling us? Cause us not being unified against the swamp means that they go back to business as usual and worse.

I didn’t imply anything- I’m saying it outright. I don’t know if the president is the murderer or the coroner, the symptom or the disease- but his brand of politics is the new standard for sure. The only thing harder to try and prove (other than the deep state as people describe it today- an international cabal that literally runs the world) is that it’s always been a thing. But I’m happy to let you try. You do so at the peril of your credibility.

Apologies for my vernacular, I'll try not make the same mistake again.

Advocating Americans being 'punished' for wanting change from an entrenched political aristocracy seems pretty obtuse. Also, I think you are mistakenly attributing the entrenched corruption and rot in DC on an outsider like Donald Trump. The swamps establishment in DC stretches way before DT.

As for the 'squad'... yikes. They've been given an opportunity to integrate into the fabric of our nation, but instead seem to be intent on ripping it apart. If you're coming in from somewhere else you're supposed to add to the great American melting pot, not shit in it. The squad ain't doing any favors for their communities, that's for sure.

Look man, the world is growing increasingly smaller. We are more interconnected now than in any time in the history of mankind. To say that the most powerful people in the world don't share social circles is absurd. I don't definitively know about the cannibalism or other crap, but the information out on 'the finders', 'Epstein', 'The Lolita Express', and 'Pedophile Island' is pretty damning. This isn't about party affiliation, this is about a political aristocracy treating American children like playthings.

As for me not being the sharpest tool in the shed that's okay. However, it doesn't take a genius to see the dysfunction of the political elite and the growing resentment from the common man. If you want to stick your head in the sand that's on you.

It's a bit of stretch to call it the a secret cabal because the Dems/Libs/Left controls 234/435 seats in the House, and 47/100 seats in the Senate. Calling it the Deep State is in my opinion a lot more realistic, because they control CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, etc. and we conservatives only get Fox and maybe some smaller lesser known channels ie. OAN. The left controls most of the media, and therefore most of the minds in our system of democracy, they are entrenched and openly call for removal of an elected president and the suppression of conservative voices and values.

They have been calling for impeachment since before day one, since the election for the President's crude behavior. They finally got part of their wish.

I'm happy to let you do the same by not reading of the affairs I linked to. If you think that this has always been some uppercrust and proper show well before the current POTUS came aboard, well, we've been deteriorating since Washington it would seem.

I think the Thing about the Deep State is that not everyone working for the Deep State knows they are of part it and that’s it’s greatest Weapon. There’s more to my theory but involves Spirituality and other off wall explanations.
 
I'm with @amlove21 - I don't know what to believe, nor how to fix the shitshow/circus that has become federal government (intentionally not capitalized), but the elected ass clowns on both sides of the aisles seem to only worry about padding their wallets and currying favor with business to further pad their wallets. The only person in that friggin shitshow two days ago who was honest, merely voted present and said "I don't know how to vote on this impeachment".

We deserve those we elect, and those who make the wildest promises seem to win... Rome is burning, the senate is partying, the legions are activated, and the populace is worried about bread and circuses. We as a nation at large are generally failing, because its somebody else's responsibility for everything. Sorry America, you voted all of this into being. Hard rights are needed across the board, but the easy wrongs are winning, and you're blaming those you elected for your having elected them in the first place.

Too bad nobody feels shame anymore, the entire elected federal government would have committed hara-kiri had they any shame.

Everything about impeachment trial from the fake evidence, the trials theatrics, to the MSM coverage, was in some way influenced or financed by the people that make up this hidden American aristocracy. I apologize if my words were harsh, but what we are seeing is not something that we should take lightly. The new aristocracy aims to rule us, whether we see it or not.

As @BlackSmokeRisinG, @lindy, and many others have so eloquently expressed, the Deep State is not some monstrous faceless entity; it is 'people'. Groups of people and their combined efforts serve as hallmarks of mankind's progression as a species. Everything from humans hunting megafauna, building kingdoms, to establishing the sciences, have always had elements of group cooperation.

Considering the history of our species, today's level of interconnectivity, and the forthcoming evidence of massive government corruption, is it so hard to believe that something like the Deep State can't exist?

As cliche as it sounds, there is a reason why Americans are choosing sides and arming themselves. Look at the State of Virginia and the measures it's citizens are taking to ensure their freedoms aren't infringed upon. What's happening in VA is happening all over the US and these 'people', who've stolen citizens rights and local elections, are the same 'people' that funded the retards who screamed "impeach the motherfucker".

People like Bloomberg, Soros, individuals controlling mass communication platforms, and people in our very own government, are flexing their collective nuts to keep the charade of bread and circuses going. Like you said in one of your other posts, this charade is to keep us from looking at something. Here's the rub, the charade and circuses were created by 'people' and the dysfunction we are seeing is not the work of one person.

There is method to the madness we are seeing and this impeachment debacle is just that, madness with a method.

: an alleged secret network of especially nonelected government officials and sometimes private entities (as in the financial services and defense industries) operating extralegally to influence and enact government policy

Definition of DEEP STATE

When I refer to the Deep State, the above what I’m referring to; especially the unelected bureaucrats and senior executive service within the USG exerting influence that transcends elected officials. Among others, I’ve attended decisional meetings after presidential tweets that change policy and have heard govvies discuss options, implications, and opinions regarding the wisdom of change. I’ve spent 19 years in two federal agencies and my pre-2016 experience was unlike anything after Nov 9 2016. Prior to my recent move, I heard crap like the Strozk/Page text exchanges on a daily basis. I have colleagues that still do as of today. This is why I believe it’s a thing.

I’m curious as to your frame of reference as to why you believe it doesn’t exist. I’m also interested in your experience inside a federal agency/organization where you were accepted as an insider and privy to bureaucratic ramblings.
