Remains to be seen. The issue is a self-inflicted on based on how the does funding. Without getting into the weeds, the DFACs could be funded directly via the BAS meal reduction of barracks soldiers, but we don't do it.

Instead, we've Privatized the chow hall and given soldiers $39 dollars in "Freedom Bucks" they can spend a day. BAS is $477 a month, or $15.90 a day, so we're paying more than double to have a contractor do it.

Currently, soldiers like the food and the all-day hours, but I'm concerned they won't be able to keep up. They've struggled to feed more than 100 soldiers at a time and there's ~8000 meal card holders on Hood. We regularly put high hundreds to 1k through ours for lunch.

We had Soldiers in manning DFAC's at Bliss when I was there, the food was great (I would eat there as a PL a couple times per month) and I still had idiots going to the Shoppette food court and being fat. Mind you, in our Bs they had full kitchens so if the food at the DFAC wasn't "healthy enough" they could buy food and make their own. But no, let's eat Popeyes every day multiple times per day.

I do generally hate the President, but I love what he is doing with militaristic foreign policy. He has almost completely neutered China without doing anything to actually hit them. As everyone says the Chinese plan in centuries, and this presidency is like “The Mule” in the foundation series, completely destroying their plans.

His domestic polices are mostly sloppy, egotistical and I don’t think in the best interests of most Americans, but he is whopping the Chinese by hitting them where it really hurts.
