The Trump Presidency 2.0

Newsom's positioning himself for a 2028 run at the White House. He's doing whatever he can to stay "relevant", to throw topics at the wall and see what sticks, what doesn't, who responds, how, etc. The Democrats are leaderless and their only guiding ideologies are those rejected last November, but they have nothing else to run on or to believe in so they will grasp at straws and let a Royal Rumble decide who makes a run at the title.

Newsom is running, there will be no primary (just like with Hillary when they merked Bernie, just like when Kamala took over for Biden without a single vote), and the machine will work overtime to downplay Newsom's terrible political record.

I have seen this movie before, and it sucks.

Democrats and bad press don't matter, so this will be forgotten immediately, but Newsom is one of two dems I've seen today admitting that illegals vote in elections. Why would ICE dissuade legal citizens from voting, Gav? Can you really unpack that?

I don't even know what to type here, I can already hear the replies.

So does the president control gas prices when they're low and has no control over them when they're high? Can we possibly point to the last admin and say that the economy is only doing well because they handed it to him, unless it's bad, in which case he destroyed it? SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT TO THINK.

Anyway, gas prices for labor day weekend are $3.15, $0.14 lower than last year, and $0.01 lower than 2021. In 2023, gas was $3.79...

I'm a Trump supporter, no secret there. I have to remind myself he's only been POTUS for 8 months. I'm hopeful, but gas here is 3.39 to 3.45 and coffee is 13-14.00 per can. Food prices (other than eggs) haven't really budged. You can't say " I brought down the price of eggs" and call it a day.

Bro that breakdown would be absolutely filthy. Given that the president was (allegedly) dead all weekend only to resurrect himself for today's news conference... I think we have something here.
