The Trump Presidency 2.0

"Mostly peaceful" counter-protesters.

You really don't hate these people enough. The nonsense they (MSM) have used to try and soften this ("they threw the device away from people") was also completely submarined by the fact that the video clearly shows them drop it at the literal feet of the cops that responded.

I think its what makes us better. So, you think Mullin is the best option for Secretary of DHS?
When it comes to the scoreboard it makes us worse. We're actually the diverse party and I can tell you diversity is not strength. Unity of Purpose (Help Received: Pete Hegseth) is what matters. That's how you get results.

You're not wrong. Loyalty is important and especially for a president so hated by the opposition. DHS is a big part of the agenda I voted for, so can we put a little thought into selecting a leader?

We cant have checks and balances when the POTUS has enough influence to select congress. Anyone notice he turns on anyone who disagrees with Iran and/ or the full release of the Epstein files? This is why we can't have nice things. I hope it backfires and Thomas Massie wins big. Massie is a true conservative, seems genuine, and I think we need him. ...because I recognize I'm not even remotely qualified to run those departments.

Don't sell yourself short hermano; there are folks right here on this board that are every bit as capable and qualified as some of the cabinet members, senators, and representatives that have held both appointed and elected positions during every single one of the last 10 presidential administrations...

Don't forget - we have a Pro-Wrestling promoter in government right now - a Supreme Court Justice that can't define what a woman is because she isn't a biologist - a reality TV star and real estate developer serving his second terms as POTUS - a Junior Enlisted VP - talk show hosts put in leadership positions in the DOW and DOJ - EweToobers winning congressional primaries - not to mention Bill Clintons attack dog serving as both the Secretary of State and a carpet bagging US Senator.

Nonsense my dear bulletin board friend - many of us could not only serve in one of these jobs - we'd likely turn in a much better performance. These fucking charlatans only get their positions and padded resumes BECAUSE they are such shameless charlatans.

...just my two cents, I could be wrong

Tl;DR version: people--especially young people--need a mission. If we don't give them one, someone else will.

People need a mission. They need a reason to get out of bed, a hill to climb, something that demands effort and offers meaning in return. Something that makes them feel brave, part of something special, something important. If we don’t give people a mission—if families, communities, institutions, and leaders fail to provide one—someone else will. And lately, a lot of Americans are volunteering for fights that aren’t theirs, on behalf of people who aren’t them, for causes they’ll never have to live with the consequences of.

Relevance to this thread: Americans have it so easy that they don't really have struggles in their lives. Not big, broad, aspirational, ones. And we need that in our lives. When it's not channeled properly, you get Antifa and white supremacy and BLM and all kinds of bad things.

That's why things like so many people here on the site, like @amlove21 with OnesReady and the mentorship that @TLDR20 does for SF aspirants, and so many others do for young Americans. Because if we don't help our young people shape their outlets and the passions, we get stupid shit like this:

Maybe I was raised different by being taught to think for myself and use critical thinking. Or raised my daughter wrong with the same values as I was raised by. Wanting a cause to believe in with direct action doesn't change anything and only proves that the dildo of consequences rarely arrives lubed. Living a good life as a decent human being with morals doesn't require a person to do stupid things.

Letting a person who has right of way go by and not cut them off is direct action all on it's own. Being kind to animals is also direct action. Helping out a disabled or an old or short person get something in a tall shelf, is again, direct action. And all by choice and not without peer or community pressuring.

IMO we don't have a not give a cause or a routine problem. Instead we have a very bad parenting problem and this is what we are getting in return for it.

A few questions. Do you believe in God? Do you believe in Jesus Christ? Do you attend Church?

I'm angry with God right now. I'm Jewish, so no on the other two. However I respect others who do.

A week ago I went to the contracted PO annex and saw the old lady behind the counter was reading the bible and was in her happy place, so I calmy waited until she was done with whatever verse she was on.

Thanks for the reply. I think the attack on Christianity by the left over the past 50 odd years has been horrible for our country. As less and less have gone to church, more weird things have happened. We've seen the rise of transgenderism. More kids with ADHD and more kids being diagnosed as being "on the spectrum". We've seen more people join these massive groups of idiots (Antifa), proud boys, whatever they are. People without a purpose. The liberals have captured the wayward folks and get them to flash mob for Hamas and Transgenders. When it is actually those people who are attacking the core tenets of our country.

We're seeing it in New York, people want secularism if the Christian (or Jewish faith) is the predominant one. But then Mamdani leads a whole group in muslim prayers in his office and it gets shared all over social media.

Tejas Gaikwad on Instagram: "NY City Hall under Mamdani. Not Al. Christians allowed ourselves to be bullied for far too long! A Christian mayor would have been scared to hold a simple prayer meeting on government grounds."

Needless to say, a lot of folks out there are wayward and have not been given a true foundation. Education used to be about teaching people how to think independently. These days it seems more like indoctrination as even elementary school teachers preach to their students liberalism instead of 1st grade math.
