FORT BRAGG, N.C. (USASOC News Service, Nov. 17, 2010) – Two Army Special Operations Forces general officers are among the list of those recently released by the Secretary of Defense for nomination to appointment to major general.
Brig. Gen. William K. Fuller, the deputy commanding general of U.S. Army Special Operations Command, and Brig. Gen. Bennet S. Sacolick, commanding general of the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School, have both been nominated for promotion.
Several other general officers with ties to ARSOF were also nominated, including:
Brig. Gen. Raymond P. Palumbo, former deputy commanding general of USASOC, who is now serving as the commanding general of U.S. Army Alaska and deputy commander of U.S. Alaskan Command, Fort Richardson, Alaska;
Brig. Gen. Al T. Aycock, former commanding general of Special Operations Command Korea, who is currently the deputy commanding general and chief of staff for the Installation Management Command in San Antonio, Texas;
Brig. Gen. Patrick M. Higgins, former commanding general of Special Operations Command Africa, who is currently serving as the deputy director, requirements, J-8, the Joint Staff in Washington, D.C.
