USMC Scout Sniper / Prior enlisted

I did 4 yrs as a 2147 LAV mech in 2nd LAR, I eas’d in 2016 as E-5 but I’m re enlisting and wanting to go 0317 I know it’s a secondary mos so my question is would I have to go through SOI again as an 0311 and would I even qualify for SS starting as an E-5 ? I know most are recruited or volunteer when they pick up E-3. I’m a 3rd award expert and shot range high once on Charlie range at stone bay while I was at Lejeune. I’ve got a medium 1st class PFT/CFT and currently working on perfect scores. Before I re up again. Thank you for your input and advise.
