CSM Bill Thetford leaves JSOC to assume the top enlisted position at USSOCOM. He will be replacing CSM Chris Faris.
He is a veteran of 2/75 and one of the last active NCO's who also participated in Operation Urgent Fury. I had no idea he was still serving until this announcement was made. Between him and General Votel, USSOCOM has the best of the best at the helm of its senior leadership.
