Watches

Not really special to anyone but me. Mainly because I only paid $119 out the door. From a pawnshop in Carson City NV. Shortly after my first SS celebration, and a very special wedding, in 2020. Had my SS member # engraved on the clasp beneath my name.
Had always wanted this watch and will always keep it. It has been sealed up in a Faraday cage bag in my desk. Unsealed it to check it after four years in storage. It was pretty cool watching the dial go through the reset process to the current settings from the atomic clock.

I got this for Father's Day. I asked for it because my oldest boy has one and I liked the look of it. Great price, $99. But I couldn't figure out how to set the damn thing. Paid my youngest kid--the engineer--two Guinness's and he figured it out.

I recently had to go on YouTube to figure out my g shock that had a dead battery. It is a pain in the ass to set

I watched 3 or 4 how-to videos on YouTube and ended up more confused than ever. Gave it to the younger generation to figure out, and it even took him 20 minutes.

Recent gift to myself. Praesidus makes good automatic watches. I’m impressed. Feels balanced on my wrist, almost like I’m not wearing one.

I’m going to look into a metal band as well. I’ve been wearing my Dad’s old watch and that metal band doesn’t hold sweat, doesn’t get caught on anything’s doesn’t hold water or get tight during heatwaves. Thoughts on metal bands folks?

That watch is tight. Personally I’d put a distressed looking brown or tan leather strap on it for a vintage WW2 officer look, and then get a black or gray NATO if you want to wear in the field. Since you asked, I’d never put metal on that piece…it just won’t look right.

I really really like that classic, no logo look. Great purchase!

Great watch, and I like their watches...had never heard of them before...great website.

Their Bonklip Field Bracelet looks really good and vintage...

If I wear anything other than a metal band, I'm getting a manky rash PDQ.
