Severe Clear, a doc made by a Marine officer during the opening of the war in Iraq. It's on YT, it's also on Amazon Prime. More than the doc, more than any tactics or strategy, it's a great insight into Marine culture. There is a lot of this I miss, and a lot that was cringeworthy then and now and I do not miss. @Ooh-Rah @Gunz @Teufel , and tag any others I missed....

That reminds me of the show Stomp, a girlfriend from a lifetime ago took me to see it on Broadway:
There’s a battle scene at the beginning of The Revenant with a long continuous drone shot, beginning at about 2:11, in which the drone flys through the battle. The choreography, not to mention the skill of the drone/camera operator is unbelievable.

This is crazy. A U.S. Coast Guard rescue swimmer in Oregon was conducting a routine rescue for a boater in distress until a wave capsized the vessel. It turns out that the boat was stolen and the guy who stole it had multiple warrants in Canada.pic.twitter.com/GU2rLuxaSx

They were conducting training when they responded. If they weren't already in the air, this would have ended badly.

In other news, go USCG and Victoria Police and ICE! A Fugitive out of BC has been apprehended and the weird events involve the Goonies House, a dead fish, a stolen vessel, a capsized vessel, USCG Advanced Helicopter Rescue School, and a forgotten jacket on a Coast Guard Bird.
People on drugs create so much needless work (not saying this fish slinging mariner was, but wouldn't be surprised).
