Two U.S. service members participating in the African Lion joint military exercises were reported missing near the city of Tan Tan in southern Morocco, U.S. Africa Command and the Moroccan Royal Armed Forces said on Sunday.

The Moroccan army said the service members went missing near a cliff.

Hope this has a happy ending.

That sounds like an oddly specific detail for them to simply be "missing."

Update, apparently they were off duty and hiking in the area of these cliffs....apparently an attraction hiking area.

This video shows some of the cliffs near the training area. It looks like a cool place so I'd hike there, but it absolutely looks like an easy place to misjudge the skill level needed to be safe. Hopefully they'll be recovered.
