Becoming a Ranger?

I just am looking for an opinion on what kind of contract I should be going for when it comes to becoming a ranger I recently have tore my acl and labrum and had both fixed and are doing top 10 percentile well in both recovery wise (I'm just working really hard and not being a total pussy about it). But I am wanting to join immediately after I get released which would be near 5 months from now. What contract should I do with this circumstance? Would it be smarter to wait and let my body get a full year before RASP (apply or whatever you do after I get through airborne school and basic) or should I immediately go for a contract with an 11x 40 opt.?
