Boston FD opens up for recruitment every other year. Right now they are in that hiring phase.

Open Houses
We will be hosting a series of open houses to provide information about the upcoming firefighter's exam. Open houses will be held on Saturdays from 10 AM- 12 PM on the following dates at the listed locations:

• January 9, E41 & L14, 460 Cambridge St Brighton
  
  
• January 23, E9 & L2, 239 Sumner St East Boston
  
  
• February 6, E24 & L23, 36 Washington St Dorchester
  
  
• February 13, E28 & TL10, 746 Centre St Jamaica Plain
  
  
• February 20, E14 & L4, 174 Dudley St Roxbury
  
  
• February 27, E48 & L28, 60 Fairmont Ave Hyde Park
  
  
• March 5, E52 & L29, 975 Blue Hill Ave Dorchester
  

We will also host a test preparation session at Florian Hall, 55 Hallet St, Dorchester on March 29, 2016 from 6 PM - 8 PM. All events are free and open to the public. Cancelations due to inclement weather will be posted on facebook.com/bostonfiredepartment

At The Time of The Test

• You must be at least nineteen (19) years of age at the time of the application deadline and be younger than thirty-two (32) at date of the exam.
  
  
• You must be a resident of the City of Boston at least one (1) year prior to the examination date to qualify for residency preference. Applicants who have resided in the City of Boston for an entire twelve month period immediately preceding the date of examination are entitled to be placed on the eligible list for Boston ahead of any non-residents.
