Correctional Hostage Rescue Phase 1 Mod

Course intent: Introduce the student population to different tactics, techniques and procedures in support of Hostage rescue within the prison environment. Produce a group of personnel capable of conducting "Hostage rescue" in the Correctional setting (Jails, Prisons, Return to custody and or other).
This is a professionals course, not a "boot camp", "gut check" of any kind pseudo semi-elite Military selection.
Course objectives: Train group of personnel capable of; conceptualizing, planning, preparing and successfully executing a Hostage Rescue in a Correctional setting.
General: This class is designed for established teams and groups within an agency. The attendee must be a sworn Law Enforcement officer and currently assigned to a team. He/ she must have completed a Basic SWAT school and be assigned to said team. This is an advanced course of instruction!
Topics to be covered:
• Certification -user level- Flash Bang “Royal Arms device” provided
• Certification -user level- ballistic breaching
• Certification -user level- IR device user and deployment (AN/PVS 7B)
• Historical overview and the differentiation between Corrections (fortified locations) and LE SWAT typical HR operations
• Vulnerabilities of Correctional settings
• Planning considers
• The five phases of CHR operations
• Application of less-lethal force options during CHR operations
• Large structure clearing / securing operations
• Forced entry considerations and breaching concerns
• Immediate action and medical evacuation processes
• High volume prisoner handling concerns & considerations
• High volume Hostage handling procedures and methodologies
• Personnel accountability processes
• Low light/ no light operations
• Elevated entry considerations (fast rope and dissention techniques)
Cost: $395.00 per student (Agency purchase orders, Credit cards + 5% processing fees and check accepted)
Complete informational packets will be provided once enrolled and approved.
Dates: May 26th, 27th and 28th 2015 (12 to 16 hours per day) day / night operations

This class has been delivered under contract to DHS (DHS Approved course), US Correctional facilities, NTOA, Jail facilities, and return to custody facilities on contract through the NIC.
Will be held in a State Correctional facility in central California.
