Good evening everyone,

I just joined the site minutes ago. I am 24 years old and have been in the Marine Corps since Aug 8, 2011. I was promoted to Cpl on Feb 1, 2015. I am currently a 6423, Intermediate Level Avionics, but seeing as I am coming up on my EAS next August, and my re-enlistment for my MOS was denied, I am currently in the process of lat moving to 0211 CI/HUMINT.

Welcome to SS. If you can stay in, that will be a good thing. We are seeing quite a few who have elevcted to seperate, and are now trying to come back on active service again.Best of luck with your MOS change.

Thanks, I have really enjoyed being in the Corps for nearly 5 years now and Im looking to stick around for 20+ years if I can. The 0211 route seems to be the best option for me at this point in my career, because it is early, I'm a FTAP NCO and I'm looking forward to the operational tempo that this MOS in known for. Especially now with all the terrorist attacks going on. The intel community is working hard.

Welcome aboard...love that you are doing what is necessary to stay in. Semper Fi.

Thanks. Im not just doing what is best for me after all, Im doing it for my wife and kids too. The wife would love for me to end up at 3rd Intel Bn in Okinawa, because she just keeps on and on about wanting to go to Japan haha.

Welcome aboard, Leatherneck!

Best of fortune to you with getting the new MOS and location!

Thank you very much. I have been stressin this board for a while now and with just two weeks to go I am as nervous as ever.

Welcome.

Don't stress the board, punch it in the face with your STRACness and knowledge of common Marine Tasks. The board members can smell fear, so go in confident, and look each member in the eye as he asks a question, don't use filler words such as "Um", "Y'know", "Like"... if you need to think flat out say "I need a minute" or just be quiet and think, then answer, but do not take too much time.

Bon Chance.

Thanks for the advice. I do realize that I have a problem with those filler words when I speak. But on previous boards I didnt use them. I just need to study hard and go in with confidence I suppose.
