The focus of his talk was to maintain your skills even when you're promoted out of an operational medical billet. He had to argue to go to sustainment training when he made team sgt; thankfully he won the argument and stayed current.

He also made some interesting points about ketamine use.

I have become a firm believer in amnesiacs for battlefield trauma after talking to and working with the people at WRNMMC, if they can be utilized properly and evac is imminent .... there are situations where you can't turf your pt all the way, which kind of takes it out of the picture.
