Looking into picking up Ready or Not and possibly the Expanse when I get home.

It makes me very happy that Battlefield with BF6 is back to being fire & maneuver. I am also noticing a bigger console player base than PC whereas BF2042 was and is polar opposites of this. But 2042 enabled cheaters and these PC guys in '6 are just not good at all which now I really am suspect at 2042 player's PC based as "skill" when it was cheating all along.
Also, I really hate snipers. They don't push, they don't defend either. And often sniper rifles are being used by an unskilled fool wanting revenge because you ruined their BS farming attempt.

Do you think it is cheaters or a mix of that and the game being optimized for consoles? I have no idea if BF6 did that, but I know some PvP games have optimized in the past, especially with certain weapon archetypes.

Between which games? BF6 or BF2042? 2042 when you get wiped within half a second by a minigun and can't be revived despite the game allowing it in 2042? Um, YA. Knowing where we are on the map in 2042 and without scanning that tells us we are being scanned but instantly knows where they are and knowing where to turn and kill us? UM, YES. Standing and moving jumping all over and still making impossible headshots that needs to compensate for bullet drops and from way far away in 2042, definitely cheating. Running a leeroy jenkins into an area and jumps and makes an insta kill with an SMG one shot headshot from across the objective? Yep.
None of this is happening in BF6. Zero. They don't know where we are or can make these impossible shots anymore. And by me saying THEY, I mean PC players. I know the PC players who don't cheat and are awesome, very, very, VERY good. I watch their channels. I see them having a camera on them while playing to prove not cheating and do get killed as much as us with normal players but they are on it and they all have something in common; they don't lone wolf it. The actual cheaters? Lonewolves 100% all the way.
There are players who were hackers before changing their ways who showed us on YT and other places on what to look for or what it would be like on a screen of another player if wall hacking. Or aimbot thingies where no matter if the gun isn't pointed at you, the bullet magnetics are altered to find you anyways and at the head.
I heard that they clamped down hard on 2042 cheaters and paying more attention on BF6 now to find them and zap it.

I can't speak to the BF series, but I know some games are more console friendly than others. Those are typically ported to PC from console. In Destiny 2 Bungie has a few very controller friendly guns and to their credit have done a good job of balancing weapon feel between console and PC. The rest of the game is messy...
What anti-cheat is BF6 using? Bungie and another company partnered to sue cheat makers and had several shut down. Turds will always find a way to float though and cheating will always be present in some form.
What the industry needs to do is go after those damn Xim devices.
