Harrier crash in NC

High optempo, not enough funding for Mx, reduced flying hours, old airframes...I'm a little surprised more AV-8's aren't dropping.

MC F-18 fleet is in worse shape, they took Navy A models out of the boneyard because they had fewer frame hours.

When I was a reservist I did a couple ATs aboard Pedro with VMR-1 (sadly disbanded). A couple times a week we spun up because of Harriers having issues where the pilot was thinking about ejecting. It never materialized, but just goes to show those old Harriers are being ridden harder than Lana Rhoades. They can't be replaced fast enough.

Eastern NC is a graveyard of downed Harriers, Ospreys, helos, and I think a couple F-18s.
