How's it going guys. I am a Corpsman looking to do BTG or stick it out in the navy and go SARC. I have some time to think on it, but any insight would be great.

We need SARCs bad. You get a great pipeline too: FMF corpsman, Basic Recon Course, airborne, dive, SERE, SOCM and dive medicine. You'll get military freefall, SOCM IDC and other advanced schools once you hit the fleet.

I've never dealt with a blue to green but staying within your service definitely simplifies things and will get you into a selection course sooner.

I was asking because not everyone goes straight through the pipeline, I know a few guys that broke it up.

What's your swim time? It's BRC not the olympics. BRC would be your next stop. You can also try to get orders to a recon battalion and get "home grown" instead of pipelined. We were doing that at 1st a few years ago.

Have someone work on your swim technique. That will get your time down fast. They also work on swim technique at pre BRC.
