I'm a former Navy man myself. Secret Squirrel and Surface Rescue Swimmer (that was the fun one) from '12-'16. Tried to go SARC, went to Camp Pendleton for a few weeks for an "interview". Was one of the first batch of Navy hopefuls to actually be invited to take the BRC screener with all the Marines. I was the only one wearing bright yellow PT gear, and then the only one wearing Blue cammies for the obstacle course (which I had never done before so I'm sure it was very amusing to watch). Then took the old SARC screener which I remember to this day. Though I passed all events and evolutions, my numbers were not good enough to crossrate from CT to HM. Got out, met a girl, got engaged, got chubby and now its time to get back on the horse and make my goals a reality. Scanned this site a lot over the years and a pleasure to finally be a member.
