I am a 0844, Field Artillery Fire Control man, stationed in Camp Pendleton, CA. I have been in for 5 and a half years and have been thinking about MARSOC for over a year now but have not made the choice until now. I have had little exposure to MARSOC Marines, except for a few I have known that have gone through A&S. As for preparation so far I have researched MARSOC, I have the short card, still working on bringing my time down, and I have begun the 10 week program. I'm hoping to go to the April/May A&S which will give me roughly 6 months from now to prepare myself. Recently I have been working out multiple times a day, doing my weight lifting in the mornings, the 10 week program during my lunch time and at night I do extra stuff like yoga. I also read the book Get Selected! to give myself some training tips and insight. I think thats about it, but overall I am excited about committing to this.
