Hey all. I am 25 years old and currently in the process of working with a Army recruiter. I joined this site to learn what I can and hopefully figure everything out. Everyone I talk to speaks of how important getting your first contract with what you want on it is, so I am hoping to avoid any mistakes. As for my background, I graduated with my bachelor's degree and now that is over with I want to join the Army and go Infantry.

Great advice. Many, many of us were fucked by dishonest or incompetent recruiters. The biggest thing to remember, is that, unless all the magical things that you've been told by your recruiter, that you can and will do when you enlist, are on your contract at MEPS, it's nothing but a wet dream!
DO NOT listen to the "don't listen to what they tell you at MEPS bro, once you're are in, you can easily get... airborne, Ranger, SF, space shuttle gunner etc... trust me bro!"
