I am 22 years old and graduated college in May 2016. I shipped to Navy bootcamp as a SO candidate but was medically DQ from the program in bootcamp for a problem that was overlooked in my initial physical at MEPS. Given the choose of an undesignated job on a ship and leaving the Navy I choose to leave and was processed out of the Navy. While I was still in the process of being separated from the Navy I learned that I am still medically qualified for Army SF and have pursued an 18X contract since. After dealing with a long waiver process I recently got an 18X contract and am shipping in March.
