Good afternoon all (Central U.S. Time),

I am a 22 year old college student, about to graduate in May. After going through four different plans and backup plans for my life, I believe I have finally recognized what I want in the Army SOF field. To begin with, I hope to absorb as much information on this site as I can, so I can make an informed decision on a choice that will alter my life forever. Afterwards, if I decide to seriously pursue Army SOF, I hope to be able to glean insight from those who have gone before me about the process.

Welcome. Is your family part of The Society of the Cincinnati?

No actually, I do not have the honor of being a member of that illustrious group. I am just a History major from Kentucky. I have always found the figure of Cincinnatus fascinating, and the idealization of President Washington as a "Second Cincinnatus" served as an idea for the profile picture. I like the idea of someone who had the capacity and ability to be tyrannical restrain themselves with their ideals and principles. President Washington has always been a role model for me.
