Israel and Iran

Unless we are willing to wholly occupy a place (WWII style) going in heavy is a dumb idea.
We're not willing, as a nation, to do the kinds of things that it takes to successfully occupy a foreign nation of any appreciable size. And we haven't been since WWII. It is entirely possible to secure our longterm interests without wholesale commitment of US forces, if the right internal conditions are met.

I also do not like that we are basically going to be doing the Israelis dirty work.

The timing is also just extremely convenient.
I kind of see it the opposite way--the Israelis (in their own interests and for their own reasons) are doing what we would like done, but don't have the domestic appetite for. It definitely serves our interests to have the Iranian regime crippled, if not eliminated.

In what way(s) do you find this "extremely convenient?" I see it as a decades-long shaping operation that has reached its culminating point.

I think that it is convenient that as massive protests go on about the country, the presidents BBB is getting thrashed and likely won’t pass, just after a military parade no one attended, we are gonna have tons of video of our military absolutely skull fucking some Iranian desert. I don’t think it is coordinated, I’m not that much of a conspiracy theorist. But it is convenient.

I don't know we've seen any numbers with any veracity about the parade. I have seen "up to 250,000" and I have seen "180,000." And no idea how many people watched it on TV.

All of that aside, I agree it's weird that only the US possesses the right ord for that mountain complex and there is talk of us going in and doing it for them (Israel). I agree that THAT's convenient.

Tulsi Gabbard the DNI saying the Iranians don’t have a nuclear weapon, and are not attempting to get one, then POTUS saying he doesn’t agree with her is just fucking bananas.

Iran has been "weeks away" from a bomb since like, 2008. This line of rhetoric is nonsense. Absolute horseshit. Even Bibi just said their initial strikes set them back "years"... and then SUDDENLY, a HUGE nuclear plant just pops up? The scriptwriters aren't even trying anymore.

Know what else is tickling my little red-pilled brain?

So we are putting the USS Nimitz carrier group in striking distance. The USS Nimitz is set to be decommissioned in 2026. The admin has said repeatedly, "defensive posture, the only way we are engaging is if someone strikes Americans."

So you put an old asset in striking distance... and then let's say that ship catches a hypersonic missile... that drags us in to the conflict in a real sense.

Good thing no one involved in this little regional skirmish has ever committed a false flag attack on a war ship with the express purpose of dragging America into a war against one of their enemies, right? RIGHT??

Yeah.

I am shocked that Israel was capable of this. I seriously have to wonder if they straight up set up a FARP in the desert. Would not surprise me.
If we can separate things for a second- I wanna give flowers to the level of planning, logistics and execution from Israel on this one. From the deep bases in Iran and the Israeli SOF, to air planning, to strike cell- it's honestly a master class in war planning/tactics.
