Yeah, was made aware an hour ago by one of my instructors at Gunsite. He asked me to help out this weekend at our shul to pull security with him. He's a retired deputy from CA.
Wanted to visit Amsterdam or Zurich a few yeas ago after the pandemic was finished. Went on reddit and searched around the internet before I decided. No thanks. If I want to see San Francisco with canals I'll wait till San Fran digs some canals...
Settled on Germany and was glad. Europe as a whole has lost a lot of its luster in recent years. Zurich still seems cool, you won't find this type of nonsense there from what I hear.

Man, I don’t know what you saw online that made you think Amsterdam was like SF, but a buddy and I did a Hauge/Amsterdam/Brussels trip over New Years and spent NYE there. The only negative thing about Amsterdam when I went were the couple groups of shithead British dudes causing ruckus.
I will say best place I visited in Europe was Bruges. It's a fairytale fuckin' town, isn't it?

I saw a lot of videos. What if I told you no one wants to be a cop in the Netherlands and they have a huge number of immigrants from muslim countries that became police officers? And that they were less likely to protect and serve?
Sorry, but did you not just see these attacks on Jews after a soccer game? I mean we've had "mostly peaceful' BLM riots burn American cities to the ground and Hamasistanis occupy American universities. We're probably less safe. I'm not surprised Qatar ended their role in the process. I am kind of surprised that they're booting out Hamas. To me this is another indicator that the Arab world is getting tired of the problems the Palestinians (and Iran) are causing for them. That's good news for everyone, including, yes, the Palestinians.
My analysis: the writing is on the wall. Israel is kicking the shit out of Hamas. And Hezbollah. And Iran. The Iranians are super weak. Hamas is getting dismantled bit by bit. Hezbollah are scared that their alarm clock is going to explode. Iran has been talking a good game but Israel has made them look like bitches in just about every meaningful way.
And now, Trump.
Everyone fighting Israel right now has about two months to either make something happen or to get their shit together and make some kind of meaningful lengthy peace deal with Israel or the weight of American power is going to come down on them in a way I don't think that they're ready for.

It's absolutely because of Trump. Israel knows they can keep their foot on the gas for the next two months because the Biden admin can't really do anything to them now, and there's no Harris admin to deal with after. Then, after they FAFO the LIVING SHIT out of everyone who wants a piece for the next two months, Trump can come in and be like "now, now, everyone" and, having accomplished most of what they want by then, the Israelis can back off and Trump looks like a hero.
