Israel and Iran

As many of us know all too well, winning the war is the easy part. Like the Nazis who never gave up their allegiance to Hitler, the Gazans simply can not comprehend a world without Hamas running things. To many of them, every alternative is worse than what they're enduring now.

Changing the Palestinians' views will be a generational challenge and Israel will be a huge problem the entire time.
That's what I've said about occupation models on this board for a very long time. Also, if you apply the WWII model the civilian casualty numbers were staggering as we bombed "military" targets and often missed. So you killed a lot of civilians and then ruled them under heavy occupation as you rebuilt their institutions. And then we stayed there for another 50 years.

That's an important part of what's missing in modern warfare. We're so concerned about "proportionality" and civilian casualties and all kinds of mis-learned lessons from WWII that we no longer have the stomach to do what it takes to really win a war. If people don't know they're defeated... why would they ever stop fighting? Things have to get "bad enough" for them to see peace on our terms as far preferable to the alternative.

I think this is sort of the point. The west (read: AWFULs and suicidal empaths) are the only people saying how terrible it is in Gaza.

The people that live there participated in Oct 7th, and have no desire for peace or a two state solution or whatever other gaslighting both sides will do. Hamas is is the duly elected ruling class in Gaza, has been since 2005.

It's gonna be wild, here, so buckle up- but what if I told you that different cultures value different things, and just because you care A LOT from America and want "what's best" for a culture of people you don't understand, the people might actually not want that and you might be a fucktard.

If only we had a recent 20-year war and some other cases to prove your point. Maybe a war Americans were exposed to almost daily.

Hamas always agrees to ceasefires. And then, when they're strong enough again, they violate them. Wash, rinse, repeat. And they'll keep doing it as long as they continue to get propped up by Western political and financial support. It's the Islamist playbook, going back to the time of Mohammed.

All of the Arab world is tired of the Palestinians' shit. That's one of the reasons they won't allow them to emigrate to their countries. It's the West, and more specifically the West's money (looking at you, UN) that keep this conflict going. Israel won't have another opportunity like this one for generations. They should take it, and push through for total capitulation.

We will continue to play this game until Hamas is ousted. Very few people seem to grasp that point. The children, the suffering, the people, the blah, blah, blah. This will not end unless Hamas is ousted. Gone. "From the river to the sea" has to become a historical footnote, no longer a rallying cry.

You can make bombs faster than you can build buildings.

And for such a bad, bad orange man, he certainly is generating peace deals.

From the river to the sea, Israel needs to be free.
:D

And, if you have unlimited money from Turkey, Qatar. Saudi Arabia, and the dumb-ass West, you can to both! Ad infinitum.

That cartoon hits hard when you think about the second and third order effects. "Please fail" serves so many of their interests, but their interests alone, it is sickening.

I wonder what sort of under-the-table economic packages are handed out over the treaty. Nations act in their own self interests so who is making money off of peace?
