My cousin is 23 years old with a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering. She started college at 13...wicked smart. She is in excellent shape and health.

What she is wondering is if that level of education affords her a higher commission grade similar to doctors. The Internet is full of information on getting graduate degrees while in, but the only information I saw regarding join with a Ph.D. came from sites that were non-military and mainly speculation.

She would prefer to go guard/reserves. Any information or direction you can send me towards would be greatly appreciated.

She isn't looking for full time employment. She has that covered. I'm referring to the reserves/guard specifically. Those positions relate to full-time employment.

Got it. That's what I assumed, but we all know what that does

She's gonna have to talk to an officer recruiter to see what's available. Not every job is in every state, and she may want to talk to a few different states to see what the best options are. For the Guard, she would have to contact a recruiter for each state. I am not sure how the Reserves work with that.

10-4. Thanks! I know she isn't adverse to commuting for drill. This all helpful. Thanks!
