That video just tickles the absolute shit out of me. It has so much of the flavor of a Fort Bragg area gun dealer. Everyone in Fayetteville that works behind a counter would have you believe that they have more firearms knowledge than Eugene Stoner - and they will shamelessly give you bad information as though it is gospel.
Well.
A weeks ag, I went into the Ft Bragg PX and proudly declared to the guy at the counter - "I am here to purchase the cheapest handgun in your display case"
...he looked at me like I was kidding; verily I say unto thee - I was not.
...he paused - taking in my steely eyed expression
...fearing the worst, he responded, "d'you mean the High Point?"
"Yes sir - the one down on the end; the Yeet Cannon"
My buddy went with me - he thought I was bluffing when I told him of my intentions. He now knows that I was NOT bluffing. As we finished the paperwork - the salesman had his supervisor come and witness the paperwork. Me and my buddy both started laughing when the supervisor was overheard saying to the salesman, "so somebody actually bought that thing"
They heard us laughing and you could tell that they were trying hard not to laugh. I assured them that if it had been "optics ready" I would have also purchased a red-dot for it "because this is still America"
It was the most fun I have ever had purchasing a firearm.
Then I took it to the range this weekend.
One of my buddies recently had a failure while shooting his 1911.
I have a Shadow Systems DR920P - it did not perform reliably out of the box.
Another one of my buddies has CR920P - it also did not preform reliably out of the box.
One guys has a Sig Legion that has given him problems.
One had a Sig 365 blow out the chamber while shooting handloaded ammo.
Yet another had a Smith & Wesson revolver that is starting to have light primer strikes.
Then there was my Yeet Cannon...
-It is ugly.
-It is heavy.
-It does not balance well in the hand.
-It only holds 8 rounds.
-It feels like you are trying to shoot a brick.
-It is the Napoleon Dynamite of handguns.
...but it goes "BANG" every time you pull the trigger.
EVERY.TIME.YOU.PULL.THE.TRIGGER.
You want diversity?
You want equality?
You want inclusion?
...show up at a Fort Bragg area gun range on payday weekend with a 9mm High Point "Yeet Cannon"
...folks looked at me like I was a PV2 bringing an overweight stripper into the barracks on a Wednesday night.
...and by the time all was said and done, every one of them wanted their turn.
