I was walking down the hall at work and a rad tech was pushing an elderly man in a wheelchair. Perched upon his noggin was a SEAL ballcap. I took a few minutes and chatted him up. UDT 22, then SEAL team 2. I sat with him while he waited for his scan, he was a hoot. No combat (late 50s/early 60s, then out), but had some funny stories. As the likely-20-year-old rad tech was pushing him into the room to scan, he shouted out to me "you know I am 82 and I still go commando!" I laughed my ass off, the tech turned a bright red. Made my day.

Combat or not, those guys are still bad asses. They paved the way.
