Hello everyone,

I have been in the Marine Corps for 5 years. I am 27. I am currently on recruiting duty. I reenlisted. I will head to Pendleton next year. There, I will have about two years to further prepare myself for SOF. I have been let down by leadership in the Marine Corps (partly wrong place, wrong time) and have missed the boat for MARSOC. I have worked hard for my unit, and as a consequence I was told for "next year you can go" more than once. However, I take responsibility for where I am now. My TIG is too long as a SGT and will not be able to attend A & S because I will be eligible for SSGT soon. I look forward to training with some of you on the west coast next year.

You could probably lat move to recon with your TIG. It may be too late though if you just re-enlisted. Career hammer would know more.

Thanks Teufel. Asked my career planner if I can do one more year out here and go straight to tryout for BRC.
