When did CCT's take on their modern training pipeline?
I may be mistaken, but for a while they were only required to attend Airborne, no extra MFF or SCUBA stuff, correct?

Pretty much, though I don't have an actual timehack. Col. Carney spoke about the process in his book.

The CCT that get attached to certain units have to have the MFF and SCUBA capabilities. Not sure if that's what drove the change, but it's one reality.

Mid to late 80's IIRC.
CCT's were built differently depending on location. Hurlburt CCT (or SOCCT) had SCUBA and HALO personnel, Pope had HALO while Charleston was SCUBA oriented.

Guy could do a full career without going to HALO or SCUBA. Part of the change rational was driven by the way the AF slotted people for the advanced schools. Easier to get HALO/SCUBA if it was a required course vice a mission enhancing school.
