Mountaineering/Alpinism

Not sure if here or the entertainment thread is the right one for this. My family watched this the other night. Entertaining documentary on Netflix, the dude is a former Gurkha and UK Special Boat Service guy, did the 14 8K summits in six months in 2019 (I think).

14 Peaks: Nothing Is Impossible - Wikipedia

Since then a woman has done the 14 summits in half the time, but also used a helo to get up to a certain point.

From the comments... "this is the MOST Red Bull thing ever!" I have to agree, what an EPIC accomplishment!!!!

Also from the comments..."nice to finally see footage from my grandpa's route back from school"

:ROFLMAO:

Redbull Rampage (mountain bikes) sent something like 8-10 people to the hospital this year. The women's field on terrain a bit more forgiving than the men (but we're all equal!) was 5 out of the original 12 entrants. This list doesn't cover the people who were stone cold knocked out, rag dolling down the mountain.
The crashes at Red Bull Rampage 2025 were so horrific that people are wondering if the sport has finally gone too far

One guy is paralyzed from the chest down.
