@Slipkid ... just an FYI sir, I read between the lines on what you wrote on your intro post - the introduction EVERYONE sees before they see anything else, and I knew what you were saying.....without you actually saying it. TLDR's point (IMHO) is that we should not have to read between the lines.
You have to realize that with the whack-a-mole politicians wannabe Green Berets these days, the SF community, not speaking about the SOF community, has become tired of the BS "read between my lines" intro's and resumes. Fuck that. Say it, say it out loud and be proud of your service. " I was an Infantry Officer and I served WITH the Special Forces in a support capacity" has become our battle cry. Too many folks tap dance around the truth and that kinda makes us jumpy. You held your cool and answered some fairly important questions, and quickly, so as to assuage the anger that has been building in our community over the last few years. Please keep in mind that there are a lot of SF forums that we all jump to, one to another.....our fingers are long and our memories are as well. Our callsigns may change from one forum to another, but we do remember....CRS and all.
If you attended Chris's funeral at ANC you met or saw many of us. I worked at DTRA when Chris was SGM I/O and Chris came to have lunch with me at least 3 times a week. At Chris's funeral I was the one wearing the Green Beret.

heh...I still remember checking in with my command table (PSYOPS) at the CJSOTF TOC in Bagram in '02 and looking at the adjoining table that had two guys with a sign saying "information operations"....asked my commander "what's information operations" none of us knew
