I spent a year or so on Bragg back in the 80's. It was an open base at the time - meaning no access control to get on/off the base.
Went back there for a graduation in August 07. The base is closed, meaning there is controlled access, that happened after 9/11, I believe. So much of the place has changed, it has really grown. And the civilian world around it was almost unrecognizable! Wow has that area really grown.
Don't miss the weather - I hate humidity, so of course when I returned, it was to a heat/humidity wave that was like a wet blanket! :bleh:
