My Random TV Thread

I started watching "Cobra Kai" on Netflix. Only one episode in, but I see HUGE potential.
Surprisingly good series, given how fans of original series always tend to fear reboots, and especially with original actors. It was very easy to see why it got 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.

I was impressed with how seamlessly Ralph Macchio and William Zabka shifted back into very believable and realistic depictions of their characters 35 years later (compared to, say, what I am seeing from the ad for the Bill&Ted sequel). It is like their characters hadn't stopped 'living' off-scene all that time with how naturally they portrayed them.

If you have kids (either Gen Y or Z) you can watch it with them and have twice as many laughs due to the generation-specific themes and tensions they poke fun at through the series.

Which bit was that? Use spoilers for the others please. I don't know some of the references because I have a bit of a strong dislike of Marvel.

My wife watched Meet the Trumps: From Immigrant to President on Netflix, she asked me to watch. 48 minutes, pretty objective, but I think it does a really good job of showing why Trump is Trump with regard to his world view and how he acts.
