My Random TV Thread

That Ivar is one crazy mixed-up kid. But I like him. You gotta be pretty hard core to be boneless and still cause all that mischief.

I re-watched Season 6 epi 10 waiting and then epi 11...WOW!!

This is going to be EPIC! I can't say anything else even if I say
EARMUFFS!!!!!

:ninja:

Happy New Year! Settling in for Season 3 of Cobra Kai! Welcome 2021!
It delivered. I'll keep my initial analysis short and mostly vague for now since the series just came out, despite the fact that the plot is now out there for anyone to read.

The two biggest highlights for me were the background story of one key character as shown in flashbacks, and everything Daniel experiences in the 4th and 5th episodes.

There were many more throwback references than S2 (the procession of the throwbacks in this series seems to be following the order of events in the KK trilogy), and the ending beautifully set it up for S4, which I predict could be the last one.

You shouldn't be disappointed. I'm more pleased with the S4 prospects (and who it 'may' introduce) and the arrangement of the feuding sides now than I have been for any of the other seasons.

ETA spoiler opinion: Johnny should definitely have struck in episode 9/10

This was a good season though some things were a bit over the top. For instance kids going though windows at a house is jail, not just a oh we had a fight and where was the trial for Robby?

Fucking Bert :ROFLMAO:. That kid is one of the funniest things on the show.

I hear you completely on all of that. I think the S2 school fight was arguably the most over-the-top any of them could have gone without completely breaking the realism window (pun intended) - though I explain away the juvie sentencing/no lawsuit for Robby on Carmen's soft spot for Johnny, who easily could have faced some responsibility if Carmen pushed it.

I'm watching Cobra Kai for the throwbacks to my childhood, mass karate fights and Peyton List tbh not for legal accuracy. I'd watch Boston Legal or Harvey Birdman for that.

Haha. I totally agree.

Cobra Kai is, legit, one of the most entertaining shows I've seen in quite a while. It's not the "best" show, it's just pure entertainment. You don't watch it for it's accuracy or realism; you watch it because, above all, it's "fun". They're killin' it with a rare formula. They have a great characters, a good story line, good acting, good humor, ties back to a nostalgic show....it's freakin' awesome.
