My Random TV Thread

Can anybody name even one remark of an 80's show/movie than wasn't complete ass?!

The Equalizer with Denzel Washington was pretty good.

Miami Vice - good god did I want that movie to be good. You could tell that they tried , but I just didn’t like it.

I don't mind lethal weapon.
Me either Digrar, although I think they tried too hard in the premiere to show how “Off” Riggs is. And I don’t like the actor who plays him. Something about him really rubs me the wrong way, likely I am comparing him to Mel Gibson’s portrayal, which was brilliant.

@Ooh-Rah, "The Twilight Zone" and "The Outer Limits" were well made shows, and stations aired them at night. Nightmare fuel of my youth. My cousin and I watched these reruns to see who would "tap out," in essence made sleepovers become 48hr awake-overs.

Plugging this again, 6 other awesome members in this thread had mentioned this; I too watched "Stanger Things" back when it first came out, it was not scary or disappointing.

So....Looks like a season 2 is inbound, on October 27. It may cover that New black hole everyone is interested in. Although I'm waiting (skipping the spoiling previews) to see it and to understand how there's a season 2 of "Stranger Things."

I’ve given the new batch of SOF based shows a glance. None have kept my attention other than The Brave. It is actually pretty good, and similar to what makes Law & Order good, they don’t waste your time with a lot of character back story and drama.

I’ll bail on it once they start giving spouses more air time than the main characters (see also: The Unit) but until then it has my recommendation.

I took @TLDR20 advice and watched American Vandal on Netflix. I laughed the entire time. My favorite is still Mr. Kraz but I feel like the highschool liar is incredibly meme-ready. 'Did you get a handjob from Sarah Pearson? 100%'

The computer animation of the handjob scene was my favorite...

Worse than any blue waffle....a female Higgins....

CBS Is Going to Reboot Magnum P.I. Whether You Like It Or Not

Thomas Magnum being “a decorated ex-Navy SEAL who, upon returning home from Afghanistan, repurposes his military skills to become a private investigator.” With his fellow vets Theodore “TC” Calvin and Orville “Rick” Wright helping him along the way, as well as the “disavowed former MI:6 agent” Juliet Higgins.

If it is Emily Blunt, Gemma Arterton, etc, they can have all of the female Higgins they want. If they're gonna' drop a deuce on my childhood, might as give us someone to look for.

Concur 133%....Naomie Harris is another candidate to throw in the mix....;-):D
