My Random TV Thread

The Man in the High Castle deserved a better conclusion imo. S4 didn't feel like a final season at all and the second half was very rushed. I agree, it was def not as bad as GOT. An otherwise great TV show with excellent cast.

I enjoyed everything up until the last 10 minutes. The last 10 weren't bad, but they were doing *really* well until that point. The end of S3 had me a bit worried about the direction S4 was going to go, but thankfully they didn't overplay the sci-fi aspects and kept things focused. They may have missed some opportunities to expand certain aspects, but what they did with the time they had was good.

Re-watching Band of Brothers after many years. I'd forgotten how accurate and realistic the squad fire and maneuver was. Much more authentic than most of the depictions I've seen on screen.

I'm extremely critical of war movies, probably too critical considering the source. When it rings true it's a nice surprise even though it can trigger similar memories. Some I want to tell my family but can't. I'm not in any way comparing my experiences with those of Easy Company paratroopers in Normandy...but it takes visual realism to have an effect on me.

Wonderful series. It suffered when it was first televised: September 9,
2001.

Another one in similar vein, The Great Raid

I binged on Vikings season 1 to 6 while in Colorado. Just following the story is pleasant for me. I have a hard time following some extended shows. As I have shit for a memory. I seem to be able to track on this storyline pretty well.
That and, I have never really been a television person.

Letterkenny season 8 coming to Hulu on December 27...

Boyz -

I binged season 8 of Letterkenny today and it was possibly the most perfect season they could put out. In fact if I found out today that there would be no more seasons...I’d be okay with it.

Fauda just released in Israel, over a million watches in under 2 days. Can't wait for season 3 to be released here.
For what it’s worth, I always watch in their natural language and read the subtitles. I tried watching with English dubbing...terrible.

I laughed because the English voice for Dorn could almost be described as high pitched.

Israeli thriller series 'Fauda' digs in for darker third season

I don’t know how they could get much darker in Season 3, but okay!

I do the same thing, watch it and their native tongue with English subtitles. Interestingly because of that show now it's easy for me to pick out when they switch from Hebrew to Arabic LOL.

I can't find a US/Netflix release date.

Fauda is on my list right after finishing The Witcher!!

Just binged through The Witcher. Could definitely be better, but wasn't bad. From the RT scores you can definitely see the fan service, which I think is good. Don't alienate the fans.. Looking at you Rian Johnson

The Witcher

Yennifer, the Mage with the purple eyes, and I plan to spend the rest of our lives in the Enchanted Forest.......
