But only 6 episodes? Gtfo. They did us dirty.

The showrunner/ director has attributed it to her lack of energy, but I think something that really worked against them was the writer's strike and no one wants to admit that caused the delay. The second half of S2 seemed rushed and while Netflix wanted 8 episodes, I think the pressure was on to release a new season. Tired? Really? You have Lyme disease or something?

For $24/mo for Netflix, tired doesn't cut it.

Been getting good mileage out of Tulsa King.

I've invested a lot of TV time into the "Yellowstone" universe - I just watched the newest episode; seems like he made his viewers wait forever and it really didn't hit like I thought it would. As a result, I don't really have a lot of expectations for the remainder of the series unless they do pull of some wizardry.
1883 was good - but came up short as far as "establishing" the Dutton empire like I thought it would.
1923 was ok, but didn't really bring closure to the "1883 phase" of the Dutton family and then it ended on a cliffhanger. Now they are talking about another 'prequel' Dutton series with Matthew McConaughey and a spin off that centers around the 6666 Ranch.
Quite honestly, I'm feeling a little bit of "Yellowstone Universe" burnout - but I feel like I just need to ride it through at this point just out of morbid curiosity.

Taylor Sheridan has quite the portfolio - but sometimes it seems like he spreads his efforts too thin, which tends to water down ALL of his projects (just my opinion)

He wrote Sicario - and it is one of my favorite flicks.
Mayor of Kingston - tried it - just not feeling it.
Lawman: Bass Reeves - great concept but it seemed to run out of steam.
Lioness - haven't watched it primarily because of my current degree of Taylor Sheridan burnout
I really want to watch "Landman" when it comes out - mostly because Billy Bob Thornton - I have never seen him in something that wasn't good. Even his bit part on "Big Bang Theory" as a weirdo was epic to me.

Lorne Malvo is one of my favorite TV villains and probably the most underrated of them.

Sicario Day of the Soldato is one of my favorites. I like it more than the original.

As a fan of westerns I enjoyed 1883 and 1923 a lot, but Yellowstone is goofy. There can't be that much stupid going on in one place.

Yellowstone started good, but quickly became over the top. It sorta feels like watching the Sopranos, without understanding that the Duttons are also kinda bad guys.
